Nats, Roark avoid arb with 1-year deal

The Nationals have locked up a key member of their starting rotation for at least another season. Right-hander Tanner Roark and the club have agreed to terms on a $6.475 million contract for 2018, thus avoiding arbitration, according to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale. The club has not confirmed the deal.
